Devalence also featured in this months IDN, the thing I like about their work is that it reminds me of Joe Gilmore's stuff at Qubik, theres a definate sense of dated european-ness about their stuff. Certainly of the french ventures of modernism in the late 50's, where the swiss were using Sans serifs, these guys liked using Serifs, much more elegant. The choice of colours and I guess the fact that they do work purely for exhibition or art's sake allows them free roam.
I think I can apply some of these styles to my work, there is a sense of similarity in era between these and the Superhero store stuff stated earlier on this blog.
